Back by popular demand. Following a packed house at the previous event, the Museum is hosting another Gallery Talk about Dorking pubs, based around the Museum’s current exhibition. Exhibition organiser David Langford talks about the changing face of Dorking pubs from earliest records to the present day. This takes in pubs that have changed over the years and the many ‘lost’ inns, revealing their history, the variety of roles many of them played in the lives of residents and travellers, and colourful stories of individual establishments, their landlords, clientele and activities.

At Dorking Museum, 62 West Street, 7pm, doors open 6.30, entry £5, includes a glass of beer or Prosecco. Seating is limited, but some standing room is available.

Ticket cost: Adults £5
Due to the popularity of the previous talk, you are encouraged to book in advance via the website to be sure of a place.

New 140-page book on pubs of Dorking called ‘Time Gentleman Please‘ also available.
