Dorking-Walking

Walking

Dorking has a dense network of paths and alleys that snake in and around the commercial centre and the residential streets. They link different parts of the town, often providing traffic free short cuts to the town centre, local schools, open spaces and different communities.

They also provide routes out into some of the most beautiful countrysides in Southern England. On the northern edge of Dorking is the North Downs, while the Greensand Hills skirt the town to the south. Together they form part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within easy reach from the town centre.
